A Day in Pre-K - First Things First
Imagination Generation's pre-school classes are based in developmentally appropriate practices from the NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children). These practices ensure that your child is the main focus of instruction. These practices also hone in on building schema, fostering connection, and exploration through hands on materials and opportunities. IG's curriculum is standard's based with childhood at its forefront by ensuring that each day is filled with discovery, play, and integrated with movement, music, and technology.
Each day is filled with hands-on, hearts-on, and minds-on lessons. That means that each day is filled with activities that are age appropriate, engaging, and challenging! Lessons that generate critical thinking and imagination and lessons that allow students to generate their own ideas!
All children enrolled in IG's preschool will benefit from the small class sizes (8 children per class). This allows for personalized instruction and tailored lessons to your child's interests and abilities. Children will also benefit from Ig's focus on social-emotional skills and mindfulness techniques, allowing children to learn how to persevere, foster friendships, and cope with discontent in healthy ways.

*Discovery time with math, fine motor, gross motor, science, literacy and dramatic play centers
Dramatic play is thematic and switched out monthly and the science center corresponds with it (ie. Flower shop dramatic play corresponds with plant science center, Rocket ship corresponds with space and motion, etc.)
*Outdoor Exploration Time
*Food Preparation and Snack
*Read aloud
*Math and literacy instruction
*Integrative Art Experiences
*Christmas Program in the Winter
*Art show in the Spring

Spanish Immersion Classes
All preschool classes have the option to add on a spanish immersion class. These classes are taught by Miss Kaili who has a Spanish Immersion endorsement.
In these classes students will not be rote memorizing vocabulary phrases. They will learn Spanish through song, pictures, activities, talking, and engaging experiences. Not only will students have fun learning another skill, but they will also learn about culture! All while being accesible for their age group! *It does not affect their ability to learn english phonics skills.
